Fondation de la faune du Québec

The Fondation de la faune is committed to wildlife conservation. They are known and recognized for taking efficient, comprehensive action in the field. Their aim is to make Quebecers who coexist with, and benefit from the presence of wildlife, stakeholders in the conservation and development of fauna in natural habitats.

Their approach

Partnership: the Fondation act as a catalyst for change, prompting communities in Québec to become active stakeholders in local wildlife conservation efforts. They count on the concerted efforts of local players and strive to build a vast network of collaborators.

Essential Contributors

Businesses, individuals, hunters, sport fishers, trappers, foundations and various levels of government are vital contributors to the efforts to fund as many wildlife initiatives as possible.

Wildlife Habitat Canada

Wildlife Habitat Canada is a uniquely positioned conservation organization in that we create a bridge between Canadian Wildlife Art, waterfowl hunting and important conservation issues.

The Canadian Wildlife Habitat Conservation Stamp (CWHC) is a symbol of original Canadian art that serves to provide funds for conservation and draw attention to the importance of wildlife and their habitats.

Funds from the sale of the Stamp have provided over $50 million for WHC’s Conservation Grant Program. As a result, more than 1,500 projects have been funded which have protected and restored thousands of acres of wildlife habitats.

The image on the Stamp is selected every year through an art competition. Participating artists submit an original art piece depicting a selected waterfowl species. Since 1985, these timeless paintings have represented over 20 different Canadian artists and countless wildlife habitats.
